The best part about the shuffle is that it's so small and easy to just clip to your shirt. You won't even notice that it's there. Compared to using a 1st generation shuffle, the on/off and shuffle/cycle switches on are a bit harder to use (since they're on the bottom of the device and challenging to get at if you have large fingers). Also, obviously the device does not have a display, so you have to just scroll along to get to the song you want if you have alot of songs stored in there.
