I own a 2 GB silver one and a 1 GB green one. My wife has an earlier 20GB iPod with the wheel.
Here's the deal with the suffles. They are great for the gym and travel. You can't beat the weight and convenience (built in clip), and simple use.
There is only one drawback. Unlike the traditional iPods, there is no display. So you'll either listen to the music in the order you put the songs in, or the unit will shuffle the songs for you. But, I don't think Apple designed these to be people's primary iPod. I think they were designed for the biker, runner, gym rat, etc., who wanted a low cost and simple way to store a lot of tunes.
So for all the negative comments about not having a display, don't waste your time with this one. Buy a more expensive iPod or a Sansdisk model. You'll get your more advanced features.Get more detail about Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Silver (2nd Generation) OLD MODEL.
