Bought this for my 7 year old and he loves it. I like the fact that you can limit the volume control when you plug it in to your computer, so no matter how high they feel like turning it up on the actual shuffle you have already set it to a non-deafening tone through the computer. We ended up purchasing the 2GB because we figured we still have a few years before he is a teen and wanting the latest and greatest new gadget..
